As I only have the new catalog from Kershaw (2007) what can you tell me about the Steven Seagal edition? How does it compare to the Lahar or JYD II?

I have a bunch of them and they are well made knives. You may not like the art work on the blade, but other wise they are super smooth opening and well made. Kershawguy has some posted on this site for as cheap as you will ever find them.....

You can find Kershawguy's stuff in the Exchange area if you do an advanced search by user name in the For Sale: Production Knives (Individual) forum.

I own one (thanks to kershawguy's trivia contest ) and it's well designed and fits my hand nicely. Here's a pic of the side tom19176 was referring to - If I'm correct, it's Seagal's signature in Japanese.

I've had one for a few years .Good strong knife great in the field I like the recurve seration for cutting rope . It's a bit bulky in the pocket I carry it in a sheath like a multi tool. Has anyone managed to reverse the clip for a tip up carry ?

There is three on Ebay for two and three times Kershawguys listing price ...that said I coped the specs

this is the other info from a seller.....Kershaw's "Steven Seagal" knife is a big, handsome knife specifically created to fit Mr. Seagal's hand. The blade features his signature in English on one side and in Japanese characters on the other. (Seagal is also well known as a 7th Degree, Black Belt Aikido Master.) The knife has another exceptional feature: the handle includes a genuine stingray leather insert. Because of its beauty and durability, stingray leather has been used for centuries to enhance a wide array of products. It is most well known, however, for its use on Japanese sword handles. This is the tradition Seagal had in mind when specified stingray leather for the handle of the knife that bears his name
