I've had a Stick Shark for about 5 months now and I can't say I am that happy with it. I was going to do a review on it but never got around to it.
As long as you use it in a limited role, it isn't a bad little unit. It does a very poor job on some carpeted surfaces, such as mid-cut carpeting (like many runners), and large knap rugs. Short acrylic carpets it does a decent job. It works fine on other surfaces, such as hard wood floors, linoleum, etc.
I cannot get under my bed with this thing, because the head won't swivel down enough. If a full size vacuum can do this no problem, why can't a tiny unit do it?
If I use this sucker for any length of time, you can smell the motor beginning to heat up. I'm not confident the motor will not burn out within a year, and I was worried about this before I bought it. 900W is a substantial amount of input power for such a little motor, and especially for a little motor that only costs $60.
The most ideal use for this handy vacuum is in its shoulder position, with the hose attachment and brush head, to be used for furniture dusting and nook and cranny cleaning.
But beware its significant shortcomings on many carpeted surfaces.
