When I can get back in the knife arena again, I would like to pick up the following slipjoints. Being very happy with my Queen D2 cocobolo small stockman and Mountain Man, and not really admiring the offerings of other companies, I have decided to stick with Queens cocobolo D2 line. I am interested in the following designs only, and would like to know if they are currently manufactured by Queen in D2 and with cocobolo scales.

large cattleman, small cattleman, small congress, large stockman, large trapper, small whittler.

If anyone has had any experience with the above, how are the edges?

As I think about it, I would like to get some old Schrade stockmans, trappers, and whittlers.

No they are not. Queen Discontinued their Cocbolo line months ago. And in the last few weeks they have discontinued their Carved Stag Bone line and ALL their Delrin lines.

A new "Aged Honey Bone" is replacing the CSB stuff.

You can still find the cocobolo stuff but it will take some searching. It wasn't discontinued too long ago so some online retailers still have some in inventory.

Don't overlook birdseye maple. It's pretty nice stuff.

I just picked up the whittler in cocobolo and am enjoying alot. It's kind of rough for me to get it scary sharp-been using the diamond stones. Maybe I'm trying to put to musch of an angle on the thick blade??? There's still a few out there that I know of.
