So, I have a Marfione Custom, Damascus, Nemesis 4 That has probably been opened less than 50 times since it was produced. It hasn't been opened in probably 10 years and up until recently, it's been a safe queen. I recently bought it from the original owner's estate. I tried to fire it and it would barely come out of the handle, but I kind of expected that considering that it hadn't been opened in some time. I took the steps recommended by Microtech and have gotten it to fire almost like it used to, but it gets hung up about 1/16" from locking up completely. I can lightly tug the blade and it will lock, but it won't lock when I fire it. I reached out to Microtech about servicing it, but they said not to send it in and that I should try again next year. Is there a trick to fixing it that I don't know about, or do I really need to wait around until Microtech decides that they feel like fixing it?

It needs to be cleaned and a dry lube used on the channels for the blade to slide on. That requires disassembly.

Any chance you might consider selling the Damascus Nemesis?

I actually have a trade deal and a cash offer I'm deciding between right now. It'll be going to someone new as soon as it gets back. You're welcome to throw your hat in the ring.

Hey! Any update on your nemesis? I was kind of having the same issue with my production version. Though not as bad as what you’re describing, it would get hung up when retracting, with 1/4 of the blade showing. Had to force it past that point. I oiled it with rem oil, and after a while, it seems to work better. Just curious about what MT said about yours.
