Hey all, I am having a problem with a knife I pieced together. I am using a 550HG BK coated blade in a camp perry handle and the lock is sticking. Every so often when I flick the blade open hard the lock feels almost stuck. I open the blade with my middle finger from underneath if that makes sense? I tried cleaning the back of the blade where the lock rubs and even tried the sharpie trick, but am not having any luck. I did not notice any coating on the area where the blade contacts the lock either. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Allow the parts to wear. That really is about all it needs.

A quality oil will help and actual graphite grease, especially something like trigger slick used to smooth trigger sears. It's basically used to polish the caming surfaces and smooth them.

However, use alone will do the trick.

Yep, just break it in. I've had a half dozen this way, and all are fine after a few months of carrying.

Good deal, thanks for the responses! I was worried after the blade swap that it wouldn't smooth out.
