Personally, I'm sick and tired of hearing about people whine over these so called "sticky" liner locks. So the f@$% what if it takes a little more thumb pressure to close, I prefer it! I believe all these soft handed nancy boys should take time to consider what they're bitchin' about; it doesn't matter how hard it is to close, so long as it's easy to open! Work up a decent callous for pete's sake, be a man, and have man hands! Thanks Ernie, for your badass blades, and sticky liners, don't change a damn thing!

I can't agree more. On the other hand, EKI will fix the issue for free if you want. A user is a user!

I have never had a problem with the sticky locks, I prefer them.
I agree..... "Man Up".

Amen... I will admit I was upset a year ago but like you said man up... I love my Emerson callus! I learned harder to disengage the better less chance of it closing on your finger, had some cheaper liner lock do that... and they break in anyway just takes some knifsturbation.:D

I have only had one Emerson that was getting towards stupidly sticky but it only took a week or two to break in and it was fine.
I think people sometimes just want something to moan about even if its not actually a big problem. Heafty lock travel or vertical
play are problems worth mentioning, not a sticky lock.

The best trick for making the lock not stick, is to use a pencil point and write on the contact points of the blade and the lock (easy to do when the knife is in the closed position). The graphite will act as a lubricant. Reese Weiland's knives are usually super sticky until they break in. I use the pencil trick all the time, even with Emerson customs. Remember, the more you open the knife, the sooner it will break in.

I agree also, BUT, mine was at the point of being soooo sticky that the lock didn't seem to be safely engaging behind the blade.....that may also cut your fingers off if you are not aware of it. Contacted EKI.....fixed....boom.....no problems. They even paid shipping back to me, which is unheard of:D

LMAO...this is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard...i had a custom Emerson and the lock stuck so bad it took a screw driver to release it.

I guess in your macho book that would be considered the greatest knife ever...LOL.
