sticky lock

I have a bullnose karambit that is very sticky. I have to use 2 hands most of the time to get the lock to disengage. Is that a problem, or does it need a lot of break in time since it is relatively new (about 2 weeks of EDC). Thanks in advance

it will take a little time for the burrs on the lock and blade to wear.

mine was the same way, now it closes quite easily.

I had the same problem on a commander kerambit, it took a few weeks to wear out but it was fine after that

try some lead pencil on the lock face, the graphite acts as a kind of dry lubricant. that might help in the short run.

I'd rather have a sticky lock than a bad one. No, but seriously, the knife should break in relatively soon. good luck, J.

it should break in after a while and the pencil lead will help but sometimes the lock isnt adjusted right and ya have to send it to EKI for repair, hopefully it will be ok though.
