Sticky Lockbar on Ti Framelock

Currently my Spyderco Sage 2 has be getting a grinding feel sometimes when I disengage the lock. This happens to be one of my first knives (including a Spyderco Delica 4 FFG) and I'm quite new to the vocabulary used in describing knives. From what i understand, grinding feel is called a sticky lock? Ive done some research and learned this could be prevented by drawing on the tang of the blade where the lock bar contacts the blade with Sharpie or pencil graphite. Ive tried this many times and it works for maybe 20 cycles (opening and closing the knife). I want to learn a better way to prevent the stickiness so I don't have to constantly keep reapplying graphite or sharpie. Ive also learned that Carbidizing the lock face can completely stop the stickiness and prolong the life of the knife. It is also expensive to get a machine so, I think that might be out of the picture. If anyone has any tips to keep my knife from getting sticky, please post on this thread. Also, if nothing seems to work, what will happen to the lock bar or blade tang if nothing changes? Will it wear down so much where it could eventually add blade play? Anything to keep this knife alive is welcome. Thanks.

The sticky is normal with many Ti locks and the lock wears over time whether or not it is sticky. Personally, I view a sticky lock as a reassurance that it is less likely to ever slip.

You can use pencil on the tang of the blade (at the spot where the lockbar touches the tang) and the lockbar will move much easier until the knife is broken in...this is very common and it will break in before long.
Good luck!

How would you know its broken in? Sorry for silly questions, this is my first frame lock.

Its not a silly question, just speaking from my own experience its common for some ti framelocks to start off sticky but this will go away with use. Any I've own that started off sticky I've used the pencil on the tang trick until it was no longer needed. I'm sure the amount of time needed to break in said knife varies but I'm sure yours will become smooth with use.
Best of luck!
