Sticky Pivot on Persistence?

After sharpening on a DMT stone yesterday, my persistence has developed a sticky pivot which ratchets kind of like a navaja. Anyone else had this problem or know why it's developed this problem/what can be done to fix it?

The easiest thing(s) to do would be:
Try adjusting the pivot with a a hex wrench
Wash the knife under warm soapy water, open and close the knife several times while under water. Dry with canned air.
The other option would be to take the knife completely apart and wash it with warm soapy water, and dry each piece.
