Stiff blade action on Sebenza

Can the handle bolts be swapped with the pivot bolt. They appear to all be exactly the same,as far as size and the finish on the female part look the same. The problem I have is my action is too stiff. My blade used to fall freely if I held the lock open and lifted the blade a little and had no blade play.I sent the knife to CRK for an engaving and re-blasting,and now I don't have that free unrestictive action anymore.I've had the knife apart twice and did a thorough cleaning and lubing. The results have been very small. Now I'm wondering if I did some bolt swapping ,I might get some better results.I had a hard time finding the CRK email.None of the ones I found would go through.I finally found one and sent an email and have not heard back from them.Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

The bolts should be interchangeable, if your washers are lined up right you should be good to go.But if it came back from the shop too stiff for you then you might want to call the folks in Idaho.

Here's what I do with a stiff Sebenza: I disassemble it and degrease all the parts. Then I take the bronze washers and my white ceramic Sharpmaker stones and "hone" both sides of each washer. I also run the stone around the washer, too. Then I take the inside of each scale and hone that area, too, that the washers is placed on. Then I will clean the areas again and sparingly apply Reeve florinated grease on the washers and inside of the scales. I also put on a dab of grease on the pivot pin. If that doesn't fix the problem, then I would check to see how far the frame lock is running into the tang of the blade. I think that if it is more than half way, you may be experiencing lock pressure against the blade as it opens. And depending on your level of comfort, you may want CRK to address this.
Good luck,

If something about your knife troubles you, give Chris a call. Besides the Sebenza itself, he's the next best part of Sebenza ownership.

Thanks for all the replies.I tried to e-mail CRK but I am having problems getting through. Is there a reliable e-mail address I can use?I have also been unable to catch them during buisiness hours by phone.
Thanks again

Sounds like crimped washers to me. If you look at the Unofficial Sebenza FAQ on this forum you will find the answer!:)

Let me know if I can help more.
