Stiff Cold Steel Ti-Lite

I got my CS Ti-Lite today, and I'm very satisfied with the knife in general. It is a very beautiful folder, albeit somewhat stiff to open.

What's the best and safest way to make it open smoother? Tuf-Glide?
I am thinking about loosening the main screw, but want to get a second opinion before doing anything wrong. I paid about $140 for it - Fällkniven has a sale on Cold Steel.

If you do a search you will find that that is a common complaint of that knife. Love the design, hate the stories I hear here about it. I would loosen the pivot screw and lube it up with your favorite brand of oil. Adjusting the pivot should not impair the warranty on any knife, IMO.
