Stiff Gerber Instant

Just picked up a Gerber Instant today at Walmart, it is very stiff and difficult to open one handed. Will this get better or should I take it back?
 
It will get better. When I bought my Gerber Instant about a month ago, it was so stiff and difficult to open. I even thought I might had bought a defective knife. It finally worked itself out after a couple of days of opening/closing.

Really? I was thinking the same thing. Yeah, I got it today plus a Buck Nobleman,
And a Kershaw Brawler. The Brawler is tough to use the thumb stud too, but its very easy with the flipper.
 
it sounds like you have a case of the "I want new folders now, and there is no good knife stores around". I am guilty of the same thing, trying to get a knife fix, so I went to Walmart and bought 4 lol. It is not worth it in the end. Wait the week and order a good quality one that will hold your knife fix for longer then those three combined. Just my thoughts anyways.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I did not want to wait for and pay for another Spyderco, I had to have something! Bladelust, AGH!
 
The good thing about walmart, keep your receipt. Return them after you play with them a little bit, or after you get your new spydie! Do some cutting, nothing real harsh though. They never even open the blade let alone open the box usually when i return them to walmart lol
