a week ago i was looking through some knife books, and saw a loveless stiff horn. a stiff horn is a fixed blade in the pattern of a jess horn folding knife. i thought that was a clever idea. then i saw a ron lake folder, i have always wanted one. "stiff lake" popped into my head and this is the outcome. 2 7/8" 1084 blade, 6 7/8" overall. snakewood handle. the first pic is my knife on the book photo. thanks for taking a look !

WOW! That turned out GREAT!

Your work is so exceptionally clean and well made.....congratulations on this new model in your incredible line-up of different knives and styles. :)

Very cool John - clean work too

i love it... great detail on the end there too!

Really very nice!

The Snakewood is dramatic and rich. Nice well made sheath too!

I'm suitably impressed as well. One of those "Who'd a thunk?" moments.

It may be the ONLY time I'd ever suggest that I might have preferred a straight tang and boxier edges on the scales; just to keep truer to his classic design. I handle them more than most.

Functionally this is better. It's your spin on it.

Good thread!
