I searched for stiff or tight sebenza here last night and found many, many answers. I just want to share what worked best for me:
Liquid hand soap on pivot - work in.
Run under very hot water while working in.
Blow it dry (hopefully with a compressor)
Then oil (there were MANY suggestions so what I got out of it is basically - use what ever you want) - I chose Tap Magic (a machine shop tooling oil)
Work in, wipe off and HOLY SMOOOOOTH!

(I know I'll get, "just take it apart and clean it", but it's only a few months old - I'll do that in another few months...)

Hope this helps

Tap magic is good stuff..never would have considered it for a pivot lube..

Good work!

Glad that worked for you but suspect you could have taken apart and cleaned it three times in the time it took to go through that process. Follow sticky. It's easy.

Tap magic is a super product for metal cutting/drilling. I'm glad it worked for you but the Seb is so easy to dissemble I think you should've just taken it apart and cleaned it.

Thanks for sharing something that worked other than take it apart and clean it. We all know that works, no sense in repeating it, but nice to have something to hold you over between cleanings.
