Stiletto Suggestions

Don't know whether this will interest you, but, if you got to www.knifekits.com, they have a kit for a gent's stiletto. With a little work you can make a really sweet little stiletto which will be at least as good as boker's low end line and prolly better.

The Boker isnt a double edge just looks like it. And I really dont want to spend alot of money on it.

That is pretty clearly a take-off on the CUDA Maxx, but it's a very inexpensive take-off. The steel and length are less than the Maxx and the price is a fraction of the original. On the other hand, the tip-up orientation means the flippers will wave it open on withdrawal. For that price, probably worth trying.

Anyway, the original CUDA Maxx, bowie and stiletto, are out of production since Camillus went out of business, and the Darrel Ralph custom Madd Maxx are quite costly.

A.G.Russell still has the Frame-Lock Spear Point as a second, which is a single edge modification of his Folding Sting dagger. Check it out and you'll see that good old CUDA Maxx technology in a pretty decent small folder.

That Cold Steel Ti-Lite is expensive in titanium, but the Zytel handled models are good knives for much less. They will bite you if you aren't careful. They open fast and the edge is sharp.

You might want to consider the Kabar Dozier Thorn.

It's a light-weight stiletto style designed by Bob Dozier. It has a D2 blade. Sells for around $65.00 - 75 if you look on the web. I have the Hunter version and it's very well made.

The CS ti-lite in Zytel is a good deal for the money.

Avoid the titanium model.
