Try giving it a flush with some mineral oil and just opening / closing it a whole bunch.

Btw what make is it ?

I remember I wanted a kissing crane stiletto way back when. It was a budget switchblade but I could never find one. This was around the time rizzuto's starting increasing in price and becoming collectible.

It will work in after a while. I wouldn't force it, as you'll wind up with a lot of play, and that's a bigger pain. Oil it, and use it for a while.

It's such a pain opening it i need two hands to open it. I'm going to get oil tomorrow and definitely oil the release lever. What kind of oil do you all recommend. I'm new but want to work my own blades

Plain mineral oil works well, and is safe if you find yourself using it around food.

Kissing Cranes aren’t exactly great, if you want a stiletto but not a $500+ one-off try going with an AGA Campolin or Beltrame next time
