Still scratching that “Old Kershaw Itch.” Went to Wally World today in search of a RAM, no Ram. However I did find a nice OD-1 and a Zing to help ease this itch.

I spent about the same on two Kershaw's as I would have on a Queen Trapper or a Case.

These Kershaw’s open like” A Stewed Okra Milkshake” & that is one of the slickest things in the world.

Still looking for that RAM.

Semper Fi.

Nice pickups! You'll love both of those knives.

The RAM can be best found online--Walmart does not stock them. Newgraham, 2brothersknifeshop, knifeworks etc. are good online retailers.

Sweet!

I have a few Kershaws at home, and just picked up a composite Leek the other day. I don't know that it actually makes a better EDC than the standard blade, but its a cool excuse to buy another Leek. ;)

I love fried okra, but never have been able to get past the sliminess of stewed okra! It is some slick stuff thoughh. enjoy the Kershaws, and take a look at Kershaws ZT line.

I wish I could get the itch... Whenever I look at the Kershaw knives I don't find them all that appealing cosmetically :( I know they are supposed to be great knives at pretty affordable prices, and made in the US to boot. Trade me some of your itch? :P

I really want at least one of each Ken Onion model, because I love them all. So far I only have a Leek and just ordered a Shallot (ZDP comp.) And maybe an OD-1 or two. :)

Gonna have to put your hands on one to catch the itch......;)

Touched one 10-11 years ago and the itch hasn't let up yet. :D

Here you go Lock see if this helps any.

Ram with Bois de Rose scales. (horrible picture sweet knife)

I have both and love both. They do open quick and smooth. I only wish the Zing came with G-10 like the OD-1 and Skyline. Speaking of skyline, pick that one up too. Great lightweight knife that is smooth and quick also.

I love the look of Kershaw knives (most) especially the Ken Onion designs. The Lee Williams designed OD-1 and R.J. Martin designed Zing are also quite handsome. I dig the bead blasted or satin finishes on many of the knives. I really like recurves too like on the Blur, Scallion, Lahar and the Zero Tolerances. Kershaw is my favorite production knife maker.

Okay Hunter, you win =P You send me some free rose scales and I'll grab a RAM :D But yeah, that does look like a nice knife, I may have that added to my order this evening (if I get some replies to my DMT sharpener question quick, meeep!). Have room for one $50-80 knife, and that seems like a nice one to introduce myself to the brand =)

Have wanted to buy a Kershaw and a flipper (non AO - they eventually wear down right? :P), and the RAM checks both of those boxes. The jimping looks kind of bleh though =(

Lock, you have to hold one to really appreciate what a great
well made knife it is.

That's beautiful. What is the cost with the scales and everything and where can I get one?

You can shoot firebert a PM or email and talk to him. This really isn't
the best place to talk about cost. He's a great guy and does wonderful
work.

Oh, that ones in Cocobolo. SladeGT40 has one in Snakeskin wood that's
really slick as well.

Which is why I want to force myself to buy a Kershaw - I know they are great knives, but just look kinda bleh in general to me :\ With a fledgling collection, it's hard to force yourself to buy something you aren't totally gaga over (only knives worth mentioning that I own are a Grip and Tenacious).

... And sorry for semi hijacking the thread :D

I guess you can tell what I think about the RAM. ;)
Start you a thread and ask all the RAM owners what
they think about it. It's a lot of knife for the $$ and
then some.

Not trying to push it on ya, I'm just sayin' ..................:D

I promise you will not notice the jimping during use ,Lock. Buy the Ram if you don't like it I'll buy it. How’s that for a Pepsi challenge? ( I got plans for a new RAM anyway).

Alright Mr. Showoff, you ain't the only one with Firebert scales.

Now Why would I show off ?? It’s really hard to keep those scales hidden though ain’t it??

You ain't kiddin' brother. I show mine off every chance I get. :D

Lock, that is an offer you can't refuse. ;)
