I have tried 6 times today to be able to post but am totally blocked in every way from posting. Can't send PMs or emails or anything at all. One of the mods suggested I attempt to post in this sub forum first. I doubt this post will go through either! If it is allowed then it is only working in this one instance, or in this one subforum
Don't want to sound like I am ranting but just incredibly frustrated since unfortunately I love this site. Not having any trouble with any other website so it is just this one. Apparently it is not an official blocking,but if I can't ever get to post again it doesn't make much difference if it is official or not.

ANY ideas?? Already missed out on buying a couple of knives and didn't get to post any replies on several topics where I think I might have been of a little help. :(:confused:

Making my own reply here. Just tried again on the rest of the website and nothing is allowed to go through yet, but for some unknown reason, which is completely beyond me, this tech subforum is allowing to post.
 
Well it's official. I am still being blocked for want of a better word. Every damn time I try to reply or post or anything in any other place other than here on the tech site error message says I don't have enough privildges yet or it is due to infraction. I've been on this site plenty long enough so that is not it. BUT admin says not being blocked on purpose so what is wrong??? I've already missed out on two blades and don't want to keep being blocked one more day.
 
I assume you've deleted cookies/cache? Have you tried multiple browsers?

Maybe sign up a second account and see if you can post in other forums.

I've tried both IE and Mozilla. Did not delete cookies. Just seemed strange that this is the only site which will not let me post, and right after a minor infraction. Since it was confirmed it was minor, and not some sort of sanction,
I don't know why I can't post. Why can I post only to the tech problem subforum and not any other forums.
This makes no sense at all. Can a mod double check for me to see if there is guaranteed no settings on their side that they can reset to allow me access again. It is bugging me like mad. I REALLY want to be a contributing member of this site. Just reading posts but not able to ever reply to any is just making me stressed out.
Thanks for any thoughts on this.
Idon't want to let this go. Want to keep working at this until it is resolved.
I have used computers since early 80's so it is not like I don't know how to use them.
 
Did you happen to join the Bounced Email group under Group Memberships in the user cp

I want to leave great feedback for jsj72 with a mutually happy trade transaction but can't do so

MTHall53, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Is the email addy you have registered still good? If so, has it been having issues?

When you received the infraction, the system would've sent you a PM, and in turn an email. If that email bounced, you may have been added to the "Bounced Email" group, and what you're describing is exactly what would happen. Though, it's odd that your title wouldn't change, it's possible.

Try this.

Click here, and see if you are part of the "Bounced Email" group. If so, try switching back to "Registered User" as is, or edit your email addy and then try. Might work, might not.
 
I'm not on the email bounced list but thanks for the advice.
I don't see how I can have all this trouble when I have been on this forum this length of time.
Seems awfully unlikely that I get a warning and then can't ever post again immediately after that.
How am I supposed to clear this up?
 
You may not be able to by yourself. You will have to wait for Spark. This is a major holiday weekend and I don't know what his schedule is.

Seems like things are ok, but what worries me is how can a problem which refuses to be solved, suddenly just go away?
