i have one of the standard Hoffman Harpoons.. i like it a lot...it hink it's such a cool concept/idea for a last ditch emergency... it does have a fairly thick grind to it, but honestly for a tool like this, i would rather have a thicker grind than a super thin one..
Why is that Mike ? I can see that you wouldn't want it super thin but surely a nice convexed edge would make it better for slicing and whittling while still being plenty tough eh ?

yeah.. i really like the mini-harpoon too... i almost wish i had scored one of those instead...i got 2 of the regular ones, through a group by when they first came out...
