Hi All,
Just thought I'd share a couple of thoughts on a new flashlight I pickedup for work.
I was issued the polystinger by my dept. and it has worked ok over the past years. My biggest gripe with it has been the less than impressive battery life. Even with new batteries, the useable time was about 15-20 minutes... not good when you're on a traffic stop.
Many of my friends carry surefires for that purpose. Great power, but I just can't see myself paying that kind of money constantly replacing batteries.
A couple of weeks ago I bought the stinger LED version. I have to say that it's great. Not only is it far brighter than the poly, but the battery life far exceeds it as well. In addition, it has a hi, med, and low setting for various field work, as well as a strobe mode.
All in all a good light. It is heavier than the poly, if they come out with a poly version, that would help.
Best,
-Coop
