I have seen Stingers for sale on several sites and am curious: are they all the same (ie: is "Stinger" a proprietery name owned by a company)?

Any differance in stregnth as far as color goes? That is: are there differant plastics used to make differant colors and if so is any one stronger than any other?

Finally: where's a good source?

Thanks!! :)

Maury, I don't see a tm on the package tag. Odd that it's not there.

Best info I have is that they're all the same strength.

From the source... Jamesakeating.com

Comtech is the manufacturer. James Keating is the designer. There will be sites that have one specific color of the Stinger. Those are made exclusively for that location. i.e., Laci Sazbo has one in a nice translucent purple. While Omega Tactical has it in concrete grey.

This is nothing official but there are reports that the black one is stronger than the others. The plastic on the clear ones seemed brittle by comparison. None of this is based on science though.

They all work. I have just about one of each.

Vince at Omega Tactical is first rate, and I like their concrete stinger. If I can hit a brick wall hard with it, it is "strong enough".
