So me and my son go camping this weekend to a pond on our property.
There is a nice little clearing to set up camp.
Just wanted to get away and enjoy nature.

Well at about 530am, my dog decides to valiantly defend his masters from a
highly aggresive polecat, that was minding his own buisness about 25 yards
in the woods.

He won the battle but lost the war. After many Natures Miracle washes and a
complete dog bath, he was soft and fluffy, but he still had a slight aroma.
We decided he still needed a little something.

Hahaah the look on that dogs face in the last pic is priceless.

Hope the stink goes away soon.

so FLUFFY!

haahhahaha.

lots of sun will help with oxidizing that smell away :)

thick oily coats don't help, but an extended bath/soak might.

going to bring nature's miracle camping next time? :)

Great pictures and pooch with air fresheners is funny. It always helps when I can show my wife pictures like this so she sees that my time on Blade Forums is spent with other people that seem to be normal. I've been lucky enough to not have to try it but there is a recipe floating around that uses hydrogen peroxide (3%), a very small amount of dish soap and maybe baking soda which is supposed to be highly effective at removing the odor. My brother-in-law has used just the diluted hydrogen peroxide with great success. Mike

That's funny man! At least you got to get out with your son, and have a good story. Thanks for sharing.

Good stuff man! That poor pup, at least he's looking festive with his air freshener necklace.

OH shit, that is funny!!! :D

Good post, brother Bum, lovin' the pooch pics. :D

That dog looks embarrassed as hell. Good job with the fresheners haha. Might try the old tomato juice bath.

Thanks guys I figured you would enjoy that little story.
Scout (the dog) still smells but not as bad or even close.
My son and I will never forget that little adventure, making memories.
