Stipple

Lets see if I can show you a photo of the stipple finish I just did on the Police model I just got. This improves the grip and feel in the hand!

Thanks to BF forum members and Ron Cochran's site for the inspiration. The stipple is applied with a spring-loaded centre punch. I'm no artist, so I printed a grid pattern onto an adhesive mailing label then applied that to the knife to guide me. If you try this, be aware that working the stipple around the pivot can tighten up the action quite a bit - make sure the side you are working on is properly supported while you work on it.

Hmmm. Hard to answer that. Yes - compared to original finish. No - compared to skateboard grip tape.
