Not a injury with a khukuri but a injury by a idiot. On the way to work this morning someone decided to throw a bottle out their window,and into my open one.It hit my mirror
and shattered I ended up with 38 stitches in my left arm. I didn't see the car so theres no way of finding this moron. I'd like to introduce him to my 20" sirupati.
Well maybe just threaten him a little.
Some people are just too stupid!!!!

Aw, that just ain't right.

Some folks would say just leave it to God, but I'd just like to see the cops and a lawyer get their licks in on whomever threw that bottle here and now instead of in the sweet bye and bye.

They find who did it, my little folding castrating knife will be on it's way to you posthaste. Jerks like that shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.

OUCH! As a daily commuter on a Harley, I feel for you! A handfull of steel bolts thrown from a school bus shattered my sunglasses and swelled one eye shut last year. Too bad you couldn't catch the guy! Revenge is never the answer, but what the hell, it's a lot of fun!
 
I don't know if they threw it at me on purpose or just threw it out the window .
Both are pretty stupid.

That's enough to make a fellow want to shoot back if a gun is available. I don't know what is wrong with people -- crazy and absolutely uncaring.

Look at the bright side, though. It could have been worse -- like maybe losing an eye or even two! Be thankful for small favors.

Difficult, but not impossible. I live along a road in the country. You might be surprised at how much trash people throw out their window even on a beautiful drive. About once a month I get tired of looking at it so I grab a hefty trash bag, a couple beers and my floppy hat and pick up trash. Its pretty and I'm outside so I can't complain. Sometimes I really start to wonder when 2 weeks after I pick up, it looks as though I did nothing. Then one day as I'm driving behind my sister, she throws a cigarette out the window

Having been hit by a bear can just below my right eye I can understand your anger. I was simply walking along the sidewalk minding my own business when this happened. Fortunately, the bear can was empty, and my head is hard and I was not seriously injured. I was only about 15 at the time and it did not occur to me to go to the police.

I can not beleive the ignorance or malice of people who throw stuff out of car windows. Where is their brain, do they really want hurt someone? Most objects thown from cars have enough momentum to seriously injure, maim or kill. In both cases, Terry and Jack could have easily been killed.

A local menonite girl was hit with a brick a few years ago. She was seriously injured and required reconstructive surgery.

Most states have the anti litter law for throwing stuff from cars. If the object thrown is a bottle or something capable of causing injury or death then the litter law should be upgraded to felony status. I don't know if this would help but it is a step in the right direction.

That's one hell of a can Will.

Last year a couple young guys sprayed someone in the eyes with bleach while driving. Then some more people tied a dog to the back of their car, beat it, and drove six miles. It lived. Man, I wish I could have been there. Then I would have become High School Jock Hunter D

Three years back a friend of mine had her mare and foal shot. The foal survived but the mare died. Then late last year some 30 estrays were killed around Virginia City. The DA had to drop the felony charges down to a single misdemeanor charge, and now, granted a change of venue. Didn't think the defendents could get an inmartial jury in the coulnty.

Maa-syaa-Allaah! These type of peoples who just simply throw litters everywhere @ vandalizing properties @ abusing others exist at every place & every time! Allah creates these type of peoples of course for some reasons beyond our understanding. As Pakcik Bill & our forumites mentioned in their posting ... alhamdu-li-(A)llaah! at least we can express our gratitude to Him because we are not fatal in the incident ... more than that we can express our further gratitude because Allah was not created us to be that sort of peoples!

BTW - a lot of peoples just throw all sort of litters & abuses to our inbox of our email!

That makes me mad! I There are too many degenerates in society now. I paid my final respects yesterday to a fellow brother in law enforcement. I knew him and he served in the Vallejo P.D. for 21 years as a K-9 officer. After the services I was just waiting for some of the scum bags watching us leave to say something. No one did, but it would of been nice to try out my 20" Sirupati of my assorted toys. Sometimes guns are just too humane for the scumbags of this earth.
 
FYI: most areas have some flavour of the following: if you throw an object out of a moving vehicle and it is capable of causing injury (as was suggested above), it is considered 'hurling a missile' or somesuch (the language varies) and is often a first degree misdemeanour or low-grade felony.

If nothing else it is assault, a crime-against-person and not a property crime. If it causes serious injury (like what happened to our bud here) it is aggravated assault, a felony. Thats IF you can prove intent. Otherwise, its just negligent assault (or whatever the local law is that covers acts of gross stupidity that could harm another person).
