Hey fellows, I just got this idea in my head, I really want a mid sized double bit axe, the lee reeves seems a bit to small, and my 3.5 pound head full size much too big (just a generic one) Would it be possible to grind down my big axe to maybe 2.5 pounds? Will an angle grinder take too long?
Maybe a torch could chop it up and I could clean it up a bit with the grinder?
What are some options here, any input appreciated.

An angle grinder while eat it up if you press hard enough. But the heat generation will also be proportional to the grinding rate.

PS: I cut the poll off a CS Trailhawk, as well as thinned the edge with an angle grinder. Practically, it couldn't go very fast. The only cooling I used was a wet sponge on the opposite side of the blade.
