My wife and I went out of town for the Fourth and stayed at what we "thought" was a nice hotel in downtown Seattle. We decided since it was our anniversary, we'd go to a very nice restuarant not too far away that evening that we went too when we first got married. I usually carry my Buck Csar on my belt with jeans and a pristine Kershaw Splinter my nephew gave me a last year on my 50th birthday as a backup (only because he hits me up on it to be sure I DO carry it). I decided to leave both behind since the attire was for dress slacks. Upon returning to our room, it was obvious someone had broken in and ram-sacked our room. My Canon camera was gone (fortunately the digital card wasn't taken), my wife's binocular's and....my Buck Csar and sheath. The funny thing was, the Kershaw was left on the table (although opened). Apparently, the thief had taste.....and didn't like the Kershaw!!
We contacted the front desk and soon learned they had other rooms burglarized as well due to someone got access to a master door key card . My wife will probably remember forever the absolute pissing tirade I threw over my knife being swiped. I'll for sure get another Csar but, I'll damn sure hold a grudge against the SOB who took it as well as our other things too but, I guess this is the times we live in now....glad I left my Kimber 1911 at home this time.
