I started my prince albert collection last summer after hitting an antique store and finding the 10ot for under $10 bucks, then I read the prince albert uncovered 2006 story and started the chase. Later I cames across the 58 pretty easily they seem more common than the camp knife and the 10ot. this fall I found 3 prince albert ot ulster tins at a flea market 3 for $10 bucks. But I was still hunting for the camp knife but They are hard to get for a bargin it seems and so is the 10ot. but 2 weeks ago I found a camp knife for I think $12 bucks on ebay but it was kinda banged up. Low and behold just as Id finished my collection (but still in search of a better camp knife) On ebay I ran across the whole set with the tin so I put a bid in at $75 bucks thinking thats around $20 bucks a knife and about $10 for the tin. but the pics werent the greates and it was a spur of the moment bid and Im not a bid retractor cause of my bad choices in the heat of the moment so I won. They came today and every one is MINT!!!! and the tin is Still full and the paper hasent even been opened yet on the tobacco. maybe the price seems high at a first glance but when you search these knives on ebay they bring a lot more on occations especially MINT. just wanted to share. I'll show you guys when I get the display done, My dad is making me a 4 sided glass case so you can see them from every angel.- Joel http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300190593103&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=020

Great! Now you can sell the others and average down even more!

I have mine with two of the cans (there were as many as three can designs with the offer on them) and a package of PA rolling papers on a wire PA store sales rack hanging on the wall above my desk. I haven't built a display case for them yet though. Looking forward to pictures of yours!

Well here it is, my pics suck partly cause I had to shoot through glass and, partly cause I suck at takin pictures. Might move some stuff around or add some little stuff to spice it up. any thoughts???

Very nice Gradall !! Your a hard guy to get ahold of anymore, lol. Give me a holler sometime. Maybe do some trading, or talk about my new Schrade collection!!

Thanks for the compliments, and dad dosent really collect knives but he makes some great cases.lol.. - Joel

Trent your right you work and work to make a collection then you finally get done and your bored and explaining to your wife why you now have to spend more money.- Joel

Never attempt to explain. Nothing you say will be sufficient or believed. Instead, hand her a gift card from her favorite shoe store or dress shop, kiss her on the cheek, tell her you love her and walk away. If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance....:D

.... Gee I dislike happy endings Codger, you're letting the whole side down mate!....so how far do you then walk away Forrest?....... I clean all my large Bowies last thing in bed at night and my wife complains about the large knife shadows she sees on the bedroom wall.....can you give me some further expert advice please Uncle Codger???? Michael,

You noted there were three PA Tin Designs. I have several tins- some with the offer on the front and some with just the PA front (both have the offer on the back). What does the other tin look like (what type of design)? Any help from others would be appreciated.

I also found a Camel match book cover with the knife offer - will be doing a display later with the PA knives, tins and order forms.

The first tin is plain on the front, no different than the regular non-offer
tins, but with the Ulster knife offer on the back.

The second tin has the same artwork on the back but a yellow "burst" banner
ad was placed on the front drawing attention to the offer.

And yet a third tin has the same front "burst", but the artwork on the rear
changed to include an offer of an Imperial knife for $1 in addition to the
three Ulster Old Timers.

Michael,

Thanks for the information - Another one to look for - and I was hoping my set was complete - Ha!

Once you get the knifes and cans, you get to work out a display. Here is the vintage store rack I got for mine.

I will still have to make a plexi case for it all. And I've picked up a few old pieces of advertising art to frame and hang around the rack on the wall. Here is an early Prince Albert trading card.

You'll be done in no time at all! :D
