Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to give an update on this knife. If you see it or it is offered to you for sale please consider it stolen. It is currently in the UK. I had worked with the customer numerous times before, but for some reason he decided to stiff me for the final payment of $500 and $80.00 for the shipping. This is after he received the knife and went on and on about how much he loved the knife. If you want to know the name of the customer private message me and I will give it to you.
I should never had sent the bowie without final payment, it was stupid on my part. But we had a long history of working together and I had not had any problems with him before.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this but I didn't want any one else to get taken.

Best Regards,

Craig

Don't beat yourself up over it Craig, you are a good and trusting guy and the dirt-bag took advantage of that. It's on him not you.

I agree w/ Kevin, You are good people and it's not your fault. Will keep my eyes open for that piece.

I think it is good to post here, although there may be other places on the forum to also post.

Sorry to hear he stiffed you; I'll keep a eye out. My guess is with something like this he probably decided to just keep it. You must have his address, do you know anyone in the UK?

He does now..... Feel free to drop me a line if I can be of any help at all. :)

In the uk too can't have too many eyes out is it a blatant theft or is the guy citing some dispute?.
I can see by the fact he states he loves it there's no shipping dispute .
ATB hope it gets sorted .

I'd pack a set of brass knuckles in my luggage and buy a plane ticket to the U.K. :D

A good heart is a fine thing. A good heart and smart business protocol is even better. Sorry to hear about your troubles. It may still work out. If you have any lawyers in your family have them draw up a very polite but firm letter requesting final payment. Good luck.

Just wondering. ... could you perhaps "gift" it to someone in the UK (transferring ownership temporarily) and have them report it to the local police or something?

Also. .. of you haven't done so already you might want to head over to the BritishBlades forum and see if anyone there can help you.

Doesn't work like that unfortunately possession is 9/10ths of the law.
The guy could claim he sent cash via post etc , best bet is to let as many of us uk members know.
Then it can be looked into and at the very least let it be known amongst all those who are in the scene the guy is a thief.
That will usually ensue nobody does anymore business with him , there are very few places in the uk you can sell knives.
Only forums and a few select sites etc ebay banned knife sales .
ATB .

Please, post his name up here for everyone to see. Link it, and make sure he knows that other custom makers, collectors, and average joe's will know him for a thief and refuse to do business with him.

He already stole from you, keep him from doing it to others.

He won't have enough shame to pay you, but at leas we can shame him.

Yes please do post the name, there are not many collectors in the UK and the honourable ones will not want to get accidentally implicated in this deplorable activity.

Sorry to hear this. I would definitely post his name and forum handle (if he has one), the knife collecting world in the UK is pretty small from what I understand.

Hey Craig, Sorry to hear this, its ashame that there are some that have no regard for what knifemakers go through. When a person gives 100% to his/her customers and then gets crapped on, it can sure be dishearting especially when its someone you trust and have had good relations with in the past. I know your like me and want to give this person every consideration with hopes he's just been pre occupied
with something else and couldn't respond. Hopefully he'll see this thread, man up and make it good.

Good luck,

Bill

I'm sorry to hear about it Craig :(
I hope the guy will pay you right after he read this thread!
Otherwise he will only smear his own self with infamy, shame and guilt!
And I hope the same sad incident like this won't happen again to you Craig :)

Hi Guys,

I appreciate everyones help. I have a few people in the UK asking around about him, nobody seems to know him. His name is David Frosdick.

Best Regards,

Craig

That sucks big time. Makes you want to be around when karma catches up with scum like that.
Cheers Keith
