On Monday april 7th I mailed out a custom knife to Jerry Shipman in Covington Ga. Today he recieved an empty box in the mail. The box had been securely taped colsed and when I talked to Jerry he said that the tape had been removed. The knife was mailed insured and it was just put in his mailbox. I have always had to go sign for an insured package so this is a surprise. I have attached a picture of the knife. Please keep your eyes out for it.
Thank you,
Chuck

The reason I insure packages is so that they are not left on doorsteps/porches. If it was USPS, then the package should only have been left there if he was there to accept it. If not, then as you said, he has to go and sign for it at the P.O. That's messed up. I hate hearing stuff like this. Hope you get an acceptable resolution to this.

Thanks Guys, It feels like apart of me has been stolen! I have always had to go sign for an insured package so this makes me think it was an inside job?

Sucks big time!!! I go to the mail box and find an insured post there when it should have been brought to my door . I sure am sick about this whole mess .

Jerry, have you talked to the mailman/post office about it yet?

The scumbag that stole that really great piece of work should not be too hard to track down, I hope. Sounds like an inside job, for sure. Good luck in finding the rat, and sorry about the loss!

I dont know but it sounds like an inside job.. maybe even the postman
by leaving it out where anyone can access it, the mailman can claim that anyone could have grabbed it and probably leaving items without
a signature isnt that bad of an offence.
