Stolen knife alert!

A couple of weeks ago, at the Janesville, Wisconsin knife show, some scumbag stole a knife off my table. The knife was in a display case, so they had to be pretty bold and reach around to get the knife. I would've posted this much earlier, but It took me this long to find a picture of the knife, and this one isn't very good, I'm afraid. :(

The knife that was stolen is the Eric Barnes damascus hunter, second from the bottom in the center of this crappy picture. Handle is very nicely figured flame maple, and the blade is deeply etched ladder damascus with a stainless single guard. I'd call this a large hunter, as it has at least a 4" blade and an equally long handle that felt very good in my big hand. The knife weighs very little. For size comparison, that is a 10" bladed John Fitch camp knife directly below it in the picture. Stylewise, the knife looks very much like one of Jim Crowell's hunters, as Mr. Crowell taught this man how to make knives.

Please keep your eyes out for this one, folks. Let's not let the lowlife enjoy his/her act of shame.

I am not a miracle worker, here is the best I could do.

There's always someone trying to get something for nothing.

May the thief's gonads be infested with carnivorous worms.

I hope you recover your property, and I'm sure that folks will be keeping an eye out. A stolen knife has no appeal.

You ding dong, you sold that knife!

Sheesh!!!

;)

In all seriousness, that makes me so freaking mad. I know what it feels like to find your stuff stolen and it is the most infuriating thing ever.

Maybe he will trip and fall on it and cut his nuts off. One can only hope! :)

Sorry, perhaps he will be stupid enough to bring it to Blade, a lot of eyes will be watching for it.
