While I am not able to be at the Eugene Show this year I still have a table being tended there by my father. Yesterday some POS passing himself or herself off as a human being, decided they needed one of the knives on my table by way of a five finger discount. My they rot in H.E.L.L. and cut themselves each time they open it. Anyway the knife is my #5 linerlock. It is the same style of knife shown at the top of this page http://adw.go-gbs.com/linerpics.htm It has a Double stainless fireball blade with two color raindrop mokume bolsters and mother of pearl scales. The blade, backstrap and liners are fileworked the thumb stud has been checkered. The liners are titanium and have been anodized gold. There are several knives on the above web page that have fireball blades that can give you an idea of the pattern. If you have any imformation on this knife please email me any info at knifeman@lcturbonet.com or call me at 775-962-5463 / 775-482-6465.

Someone that would do this is not a knife person. Not one knife person that I know would ever think of stealing the food from the mouths of a maker and his family. This is the work of a low life POS crook that might think he is a knife person, but we all know better.

You bet I will be on the lookout for this knife. I will contact you immediately if I hear or see anything.

I hope the guy falls on it and kills himself..
Not long ago one of my knives were stolen by some POS customs **** in South Africa.. Makes me sick thinking about that jackass sporting around one of my blades..

Is this a fairly common occurance at knife shows?

I hope the bastid gets what he deserves. I hate a thief.

It may have been the same SOB thay helped themselves to some of the new Timascus stock displayed at Alpha Knife Supply's table.

I hope the bastid gets what he deserves. I hate a thief.

That bas-**** ain't no bastid :D.

I was at the show all three days and was most sorry to hear about the theft - particularly because it was stolen on Friday (members of OKCA only day). This was no knife person, but someone who purchased a membership with, perhaps, a premeditated intent to steal.

Please do not let this experience sour your impression of the OKCA show. We will all be on the lookout for your knife.

I hate to hear it. The knife community as a whole is the most trustworthy and respectable group I've ever encountered. Shows have always impressed me with the open availability of expensive pieces of all kinds. Too bad some people don't share the vision.

What a POS....

Sorry to hear about the theft. Hope you don't mind me copying your pics. from your site and uploading it here so that all can see what to look out for.

Thanks HC!

That sure is a beautiful knife. Wonderful lines and materials. I already know fit and finish is top shelf. How can a P.O.S. enjoy owning something as nice as that knowing they stole a makers labor and talent.

I will keep my eyes open for it.

I spoke with one other maker who also had a knife stolen on Friday, and at least one more wandered off on Saturday. My guess is that it was one person who was looking for specific kinds of knives. All seem to have been folders in the same price range. I'd keep an eye open on Ebay; they would be easy to fence there.

Sorry about your loss Art. May he rot in h*ll...

I feel your pain, Beo. I shipped a knife to France on Jan 7th, 2002, and it never arrived. I shipped 2 knives, $360 worth to a guy in Canada on the 16th of this month, and they are still MIA. I'm just hoping that the service is just slow. They are insured, but its a PITA to go thru the process. Hope you find the $#%^&*()(*^&%$^*&(*)(&^$%&(*) who took your blade!

Sorry the hear that Arthur.
I feel for you, The A$$ hole..
I just lost out because of credit card
fraud if you don't do IT right you don't get it back
or your money ether That sucked big time. :(

edited because I can't spell:(

I tell ya, it seems like knife shows are going to have to set up metal detectors at the exit doors and make everyone empty thier pockets and produce receipts for anything they have on em. Or maybe set up surveilance cameras that can cover every table. This stinks big time!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Maybe the prick will try to sell it on one of the forums--let's be on the lookout!

Beautiful knife !

Personally. . .I hope the dipsh!t loses both thumbs in a horrific accident !

Just a suggestion...

Knives been stolen at Shows are going to happen again. Knifemakers are going to have to also concentrate on security for their products, either glass cases, serilaizing ,buddy system,etc..

But more importantly , those knifemakers that have had a knife stolen, chip in a coupla bucks at each show, print up and pin a WANTEDsign on a pinboard showing knives that have been stolen previously. So that any self-respecting knife collector or appreciator does not buy it in error when that POS offers it for sale privately on the floor. (I have not been to a show so I don't know how things work...but is it not possible that a person could come up to another person and say...Hey I have this lovely knife , wanna see, interested?, give me $$$ and its yours)

At least by having that WANTED pinboard the POS can't sell what he has stolen at any Show to any law-abiding person.

Lets nail these SOBs.

Thanks for the support Gentelmen. Thanks for posting the pic HC LEO. Just a clarification the knife HC posted for me was purchased legitimately. The knife stolen is of the same style but with Mother of Pearl scales. I will also check E-Bay to see if it turns up there thanks again everyone.
