Heard that! I hope he slices his finger off with it.

thats typical of the lower life forms at the USPS. Man one time I took my kids boy scout troop to the large mail sorting facility here. I think we would have been better off visiting a maximum security prison. At least those creeps were behind bars. Its amazing that more stuff isnt liberated via the creeps at the post office. The Dragon lady we have working at our local post is such a flaming witch she would not last one day in the private sector. Thank god she has a goverment job otherwise she would be on welfare. I hope the pkg was secured. and I would report it to Postal inspectors. That type of theft is a federal crime. in case you didnt know....

I am the customer that A.T.'s knife was meant for. It really is a drag that the knife was lost because I can imagine that the post office bureaucracy is a bear to deal with. I just hope that A.T. gets his fair compensation.

There is nothing I hate more than a thief.I hope things work out for both of you and who ever stole it get's there just reward.

I will certainly keep an eye out for this knife. Lowlife, miserable POS thief. I hate them. Sorry to see this A.T.. Anothony, I am also sorry to see the aggravation you must be going through having to wait for another knife. All caused by a mindless cretin.

Trust me, her mother is in charge at my local Post Office. What a Bit*ch!

The good news is, since the claim is more than $50.00, the claim will not be processed locally. YES!!!

A.T. I hope you had it insured?
I had a package lost in November
just found out the stuff that gets lost
in the mail gets held for 90 day then goes on E-bay
  nice Aye...??
They make money from the stuff lost and then charge you
again for the shipping to you if you win the bid
on someone elses stuff that has all ready been pre
paid shipping ..:o  they get your idem sell it
and get paid 2 times the shipping.
So Why would they want to find it for you?
Sad to say but true They... suck big time..:barf:

This stolen knife situation is an education. A.T. notified me that the post office will want to see the box. I'm glad I saved it. As for A.T., I can't say enough nice things about him. He has already contact me about making a knife to replace the one lost, obviously this is well in advance of any compensation for him. He has my strongest recommendation. Not only does he make beautiful knives, he is as nice a man as any person I have dealt with in the knife world. I hope that some how good fortune and blessings will arise from this negative event.

I mail and receive a few knives each year. I take care not to put the words "custom knives", or "knifemaker" anywhere on the label. I wonder how many packages are stolen because the label indicates something about the contents. You guys probably know what I am saying already, but it is food for thought for those who haven't considered it.

Make sure in the future your label and package are nondescript. Plain brown wrapper & just use your initials "ATB" along with your address so nobody except the recipient has a clue as to what the package contains. Keep the invoice inside and, above all, DON'T PRINT ALL THE NUMBERS of the customer's credit card. Use asterisks for all digits except the last 4.

I won a nice uncirculated 1923 Peace dollar on eBay about 5 months ago. I received a nice empty package with a slit up one side.
