Stolen Persian Fighter!

Last weekend I was attending a special function being held at the Chesapeake Knife & Tool store at a very large regional mall (The Columbia Mall...in Columbia, MD between Baltimore and Washington, DC). When it ended I packed up and left and walked all the way to the other end of the mall. It's a long walk and the mall was packed. When I got to the other end I stopped in to visit a friend who works at a fine men's store, and that's when I discovered that my Persian Fighter was missing.

It was in a black nylon pouch, about 11" in length. I had put the pouch into my shoulder bag, but because of it's length it stuck out slightly from the zippered opening of my shoulder bag. The police are convinced that someone followed me from the knife store and probably bumped into me and lifted the pouch.

I had hoped that it would have turned up by now, but no such luck. If you happen to see it, please call a cop...and then contact me.

Sorry to hear about this dennis. I know you worked very hard on this knife. If someone followed you they knew what they were doing. We'll keep our eyes out for it.

What a shame. Having something like this happen can be devastating for a knifemaker. It seems that these knives never turn up in places where I will see them, but I will definitely keep an eye out.

Thanks guys... I appreciate your kind words.

Although I've put the word out, I don't have any great hope of ever seeing the knife again...I just don't think I'll get that lucky. For my own peace of mind, I've pretty much moved on already...

Happily, I've got a couple of knives in-progress on my bench now, and working on them is the best medicine for me right now.
