Ok, just a stupid question from a Sebenza newbie. Is there anything that sets the knife apart from others? I guess not?!

I mean the certificate isnt a bad start, yet there may have been several of these made on that particular day.

I really wish there was an indiviudal number on the knives-they are expensive enough to make numbering a good idea. Heck, even mass produced Maglites are serial numbered......... . :(

Oh, and PS : sorry about the loss of the knife.

I had always thought the same thing about the serial numbers for the plain versions. It doesnt need to be on the outside of the handle...it can be on the inside by the batch number.

Even thought about having my name engraved on the inside of mine, I would think a place like "Things Remembered" could even do a nice job of it at a cheap price.

true, i may not be able to tell for sure if a knife, say on ebay, is mine, however like mentioned, one with the same date is unlikely. and since each card is written by hand, there may be differences in the letters, numbers, etc. just hoping thats all. and yes it was insured.
