Moderators, I'm not sure where to post this so please stick it accordingly. Thanks.

My good friend and collector Jack Feder asked me to post this for him. Jack (who goes by the name Knifemaster's), as you may be aware is a longtime collector of really fine Custom's.

This knife disappeared off of his table at the recent NYC Custom show. He's certain it was stolen. The spec's are 3 3/4" blade w/polished buffalo horn scales and lots of fancy filework. The lousy scan is taken from another lousy scan. The knife is exceptional and worth a lot.

If you recollect seeing this or do in the future, he will offer a reward. Please contact him at:

(Jack has no email--sorry)

#### edited to correct a word for Jack.

One thing that we can do as a community is all that we can to make it hard for "folks" (and I use the term lightly) who would swipe knives to enjoy them or have a place where they could sell them.

As far as I am concerned (does not represent the opinion of the admins at BFC) I welcome these types of posts in that it gives us "a few" extra eyes that can watch out for stolen custom knives and do the right thing should we ever run into one.

Actually, one way Bladeforum could add tremendous value is by creating a forum dedicated to the pictures of stolen custom knives.

JD that is a great idea. What a heart-breaker to have such a beautiful knife stolen.:(

I don't know if a forum is required for the reporting of stolen knives. Possibly a thread stuck to the top of this or the Gallery forum might be all that is required. I do think that something should be done to make sure that these stolen knives stay in the minds of members here.

Coop, I really feel for your friend Jack. The investment in a knife of such obvious quality and by a maker that is so popular, must be very high indeed. What a terrible loss.

Sorry to hear about that.

I would say that by putting it at the top of the general forum for a couple of weeks would get the most eyes to see it. I alway look at the general forum, but not always the others on a regulare basis. And I would bet that no one, but the thief, would dislike the exposure or the extra thread at the top and that just about everyone that visited BF.com would take at least one look.

Thanks guys, for your comments and watchfullness. That's all we can do. Jack appreciates the efforts, believe me. One stolen knife and it turns a small-profit sidejob into a losing proposition. Ughhh.

I don't think a forum or a sticky is really needed. Not for the infrequency (..thankfully) of these things that happen.

We'll keep an eye out.

Really sad this sort of stuff needs to even be a worry.., but I have heard that theft at knife shows has gone up lots in recent years.
