Stone axe making video

. . .. This guy is worth a thousand wranglestars. . .

This guy might survive, but he certainly lacks the attire and equipment required for a "proper" gentleman homesteader. Also, using sticks and stones isn't going to generate sponsorships.

The fellow is persistent! Goes to show what an absolute revolution it must have been 300-400 years ago for n. American Natives to get their hands on steel implements. Up in the arctic a couple of 100 miles north of Yellowknife 20 years ago my resident buddy pointed out old tree stumps (black spruces aren't very big along the treeline) that had been 'chewed off' by stone tools. There still were large stones there demarking tent circles and these skin covered structures required poles. No doubt various Dene Natives had patiently set up camp there in anticipation of caribou swimming across so they could bash them over the head when they climbed out of the water.

Persistent is right! Would this guy really appreciate some flint, or is it better to make the head thick like that for durability?

he is dealing with rather soft looking wood so i presume his stone head is shaped accordingly. gotta give it to him, he is hella patient!!! look at his other video, they all are amazing.

I love watching this guy's videos. There's something calming and soothing watching a video of a person persistently making something and not jabbering on and on about what they're doing. Just the sound of nature and human ingenuity. Peaceful.
