Google flint knapping and you'll find a lot of groups that get together to knap. There's meetings and big conventions just like the blade show. It's a huge hobby and growing. It's also a lot of fun and a real skill to have.

Also if you can get your hands on a nice piece of obsidian, it will get sharper than any of your steel knives. They use obsidian scalpels for eye surgery.
