Well I knew it would be inevitable that someone would ask for a stone wash finish knife. I have resisted this for a time but now it seems like something to try.
One problem I keep running into is these rolling knive sharper things keep coming up making searching frustrating.
Anyway I was wondering if I took a pvc tube, filled it with various size ceramic media and clamped it into my pneumatic paint shaker would it work or does the tube need to rotate?
I see two types of machines vibratory tumblers and tubes that spin on some kind of motor.
Problem here is I make kitchen knifes so I can’t just go to harbor freight and buy a tumbler as they are too small for my knives that average 12-16 inches in length.
I know this problem has been solved already and as always THANKS for any help!

Most folks put the blade and media in the PVC tube and knock the ends on tight. Then they wrap it in a big towel and rubber band it up tight. Toss in the dryer set on air dry for an hour.

I left off that they duct tape it all up tight before wrapping in the towel.

Use the Custom Search Engine to look up Stone Wash. There have been many treads about it.

Some folks get a used dryer for free that has had the element burn out. I bet an appliance store or repair shop would give you one.
