Bought an S30V-G10 Leek at the Oregon show last weekend and have been putting some miles on it cutting up old boxes, whittling a hiking stick, and cutting everything I can find, including my lunch and dinner. The stone washed blade is amazing! It doesn't look used yet, and I'm wondering if I'll EVER have to sharpen it! (Of course I will!)
The only thing I don't like is the coarse texture on the handle.
It felt like I was filing away my jeans pocket when I clipped it in! I figured it wouldn't be long before I'd have to repair or replace my favorite pants:grumpy: So I took the knife apart, and rubbed the handles down with 400 grit, then 600 grit until it left just the right amount of texture. Still grippy, but now I'm not losing any cotton
Kershaw makes great knives, but they gotta remember, with due respect, God is in the details!! Now I love the knife!!
