Hello all-

Please explain what "stone washed" finish is? How do they produce it (wash the blade with rocks!) Can't tell by the bad pictures I've seen, that's why I ask. Is it much different than a bead blasted finish?

Just my dumb question,
ken

Here are some pics of a stone washed S60V Blur. The last pic also has an SG2 Blur with the bead blast finish.

The stone washed finish almost looks "fibrous" to me. I love it, but I really like the bead blast as well.

Stonewashed finish is produced in a tumbler where the blade is tumbled in media....the same way reloaders polish bullet casings exept in a larger tumbler with a different type of media.

In my opinion , a stonewashed finish is much more durable than beadblast.

Hope this helps Ken....there are no dumb questions !!

If you search you should find a thread about it. I read one a while ago a guy had pics of the media used (little diamond shaped abrasive pellets) .It`s my fave finish for users.
