Stone washing a blade

A lot of guys have that kind of equipment.

I know a guy who does good custom work like that at reasonable prices.

Look up Slaytanic.

He's done a ton of work for me including what you're talking about and he's never screwed up a job.

I wonder if I could just put the blade in a bag of rocks and abbrassive stuff and shake it for a while...

What do you think?

Yeah, Nate. I'd hate to hear of you destroying your blade while trying to give it a finish. You may want to move your thread to the Maintenance, Tinkering, and Embellishment sub-forum, to get better suggestions as to how you may be able to do it on your own. They could at least point you in the right direction.:)

Give it a try with a junker and see how it turns out :p Who knows, maybe it'll be the next big DIY finish. I'm more liable to believe it's just gonna get a bit scratched up though.

Here's a closeup of Stonewash perfection:

How strange! What don't you like about the satin?
I much prefer a nice satin finish to stone-wash--especially if it has been hand-rubbed.
Here's my latest in satin.
