stone washing a polished blade

Two questions:

1. If I get a polished blade stonewashed will it remove the laser engraved writing? I'm not acctually trying to remove the laser mark but just the scratches and shiny finish from a Spyderco UKPK, I would like it if the laser mark was still visible.

2. Where can I get a blade (and a Ti coffee cup) stonewashed?

Thanks,
Andrew

For the polished blade, it might be simpler to just lightly sand it with a green Scotch-Brite pad, or use some 400/600 grit wet/dry sandpaper to put a nice satin finish on it. If the laser etch is very deep at all, sanding at this relatively light grit shouldn't harm it (it might lighten it a little). Just go about it lightly (don't scrub too hard).

As for getting the Ti coffee cup stonewashed, I've no idea there (unless you want to sand that too). Maybe others here will have some other ideas.

Edit:
You might Google search 'bead blasting uk' for possibilities.
