Here is a thread I have been wanting to start for a while. I also think a lot of people have questions like this so it may help others too. I am looking for what experiences stone washers use as far as their setup.

Type of timbers
Type of media
Type of lube
Length of time

Also I was wondering if anyone has figured out a good technique to polish or shine a stone washed blade. What I mean by that is something similar to the finish a CRK or strider stone washed blade. It's stonewashed but also polished. Looks like they almost smoothed out the stone wash.

Any help is appreciated I am just starting to play with this stone wash thing so every little trick helps!

PICTURES ARE APPRECIATED!! :D

I don't remember where I heard this but I remember a guy saying that you could use quartz as a media....it was supposed to work real good.
