Now for something very different. BG 42, satin finished to 600 grit. Overall length of just under 12", blade length is 5 5/8". Back has been file worked and diamond textured. Picture Jasper handle is mounted on the tang with 3 stainless screws and stainless barrels. Handle fully disassembles.

Very nice. Can you give us the dimentions? The grind reminds me of the picture we commonly see of birds as seen from the front, essentially an elegant shallow 'V' that represents a bird with outstretched wings.

Richard,

Yes one needs lapidary equipment to work Jasper. I have a diamond saw, some grinding stones and polishing equipment that runs under water. Drilling the three holes was the most challenging using a diamond drill bit. Took me nearly 2 hrs to have all those holes drilled.

That is really a handsome knife. I have to think you may have set the tone for a whole new style of construction. Obviously, that mounting method would work with wood and other materials as well. Clever, and nicely done.

Beautiful, as usual, Thomas. The basic lines are fantastic, and I agree with Jerry that you may have come upon a design that may be copied a lot.

As I've told you, I think your design abilities/artistic talent put you in a very small group.
