Hello!
Please, help me to find online shops with altarnative stones for Apex Edge Pro size?
I know about borideabrasives.com, but it's wholesale :(
Maybe you know another shop with boride, ceramic, arkansas stones?

Thank you!
Best regards....

Congress! Moldmaster, flex, and super fine will cover all your grits. They see inexpensive, cut well, and last a very long time.

Thank you for congress. Can you advise the same (analog) stones as Boride T2 ?
I think, it's FLEX? Am I right?

The flex is excellent. 600 grit is my favorite. I use the moldmaster up to 400, and use the flex and super fine after that. I then finish with 3m micron paper.

I have some Congress MoldMasters (to use with my Sharpmaker) and if I had an Edge Pro, I would most definitely use them. They are between 3 and 4 dollars each!

Yup. Chefknivestogo.com
I bought some Shapton Glass stones for my Edge Pro. They also have the Chosera and Shapton Pro stones. All great and they pay off in the end.
I have sharpened well over 50 knives with the SG stones and lapped them regularly. Barely any wear and tear.

Yup, you can go expensive or you can go inexpensive. The expensive will always be excellent quality, no two ways about it. The congress tool stones will be quite workable(and better and cheaper than the stock EP stones, IMHO) too.

The only caveat with the congress stones is that you will need to either make or buy the edge pro blanks on which to mount the stones.

Has anyone ever tried the Ruby congress stones and know how they hold up? I am thinking about getting a lower grit ruby stone to take some wear and tear away from my 120 grit stone.

And they last. :D

Well the Mold Masters do for sure... :)

Super easy to make. Here's the recipe... :)

Do make sure the stone and blank are lined up before they touch.

Then buy a variety of stones, play around to see what you like, and have fun!

Ha, yup. That's what I did. I still have a couple cans of 77 lying around. The congress stones are just too affordable not to pick up a bunch. I also bought the half inch MM and cut my blanks lengthwise to use on hawkbills, revurves, etc.
