hi ya'll, i just got back from a local auction that was at the firehall. got a roebson razor and two slipjoint's. then a box of stone's came up for biding. well i won the bid on the whole box. when i got home i started going through the box and look what i found on the bottom. a few old norton stone's in there box's. the box has about twenty piece's in all. everytihng from strop's to puck's. i think most of them are natural stone's. i didn't get a pic but one of them is about fourteen inche's long. i can't wait to get them cleaned up and grinding infi. enjoy the pic's and thank's for looking.

shunsui, i'll have a few pic's of the washita after i gave it a bath.

Oger, I cant tell by the pics , but some of those old nortons, if they are the size that fits a Randall sheath, could be worth a few hundred each to the right person:):)

Regardless, looks like a great score!

thank's for the head's up t. here is a shot of them all, after i cleaned them up i found two more norton's. there india medium's, the first four on the left are norton's. i'll take a picture with a ruler for size referance. what size would they need to be for a randel sheath? the granite looking norton also the first on the left is a washita. it measure's 8" long x 2" wide x 1" thick. the second from the left is a india medium 1 1/8. that's what it say's on the end. it's 7" x 1 15/16" x 1". the third from the left is a india 29-medium. it's 6" x 2" x 1". the fourth from the left is a medium india ms 24. it's 4 1/16 x 1 3/4 and is a wedge shape with rounded back. i'll try to get better pic's later, enjoy these for now.
