Stonewash blade

Take an empty peanut butter jar, fill it with small rockes(somewhat smooth), add dish soap and a little water. Put the cap on and shake the crap out of it, shake it for a solid couple minutes. I had had good success doing it this way and if you acid etch the blade lightly before you do it, you will get an awesome contrast :)

Get lots of different sized rocks, (it helps to get in crevices) put them in a seal-able container along with your blade and some WD-40. throw it in the drier on cool for a couple hours and see what you have.
