Stonewash In An Ammo Reloading Brass Tumbler?

I searched here in the forum and googled it. Has anybody tried to stonewash titanium knife scales in a media tumbler? Specifically the type that is used for cleaning / polishing brass for ammo reloading?

I would like to smooth down the scales on a CRK knife I have.

The media that I have on hand is Lyman untreated corncob. I am not sure if this would be abrasive enough to accomplish this.

I am not looking to polish the scales, just smooth them out a little.
