I've been looking for a Marauder for a "car knife". I saw one with a "stonewash" blade finish on Amazon for a good price so I picked it up. Well made knife but I'd say the "stonewash" is really vapor blasted. Looks OK and for my use it's fine. The knife came sharp but not the usual Cold Steel sharp.
 
I just got a serrated version for fathers day, and you're right. It looks more like galvanized steel than stone washed.

Fine for the price, but it's nor the most attractive finish. I'd love to see the Marauder in an upgraded steel and a steel guard/sub hilt. Like a Black Bear Classic for pirates ;)
