Stonewashed Becker?

I like the stonewashed look on many folders (Ritter-Grip, I'm looking at you) and I think that something like an 11 or 14 would look very nice with a stonewashed finish and some black micarta.

Has anyone tried it?

I tried shaking my 9 with various stones, from smooth yard pebbles to basalt to granodiorite for several hours andwas unable to get the desired finished. You might try tumbling it in the dryer. Post some pictures if and when you get to stone washing. Best of luck to you!

It is my understanding that under the new coating they are all stonewashed. Mine was, just doesn't show up too good with the dark patina it has now.

Here are some pics of Trade's stripped (and de-nubbed BK16)

Anyways, that is what ole Moose had (until he broke it) at the gathering; a stripped FFG BK16 with clear liners and micarta scales. Was pretty nice.

I've found that if you strip your becker with paint stripper and not by hand sanding that all beckers have a nice stonewashed finnish underneath them.
